National Press Club

“Critical Insights in the Law and Law Practice: Ethical and Moral Responsibility” is the title of a four symposia series sponsored by the Columbus School of Law that were held at the historic National Press Club in Washington, D.C., during 2009-2010. The programs invite a fresh examination of the vital role that ethical and moral responsibility should play in today’s legal practice across a variety of settings and practice areas.

Topic Includes: Classified Matters and Professional Challenges to Attorneys in the Legislative and Executive Branches; The Future of Consumer Finance Regulation; Innovative Approaches to Advancing Corporate Morality; and Philanthropy in the 21st Century: Should All Charities Be Created Equal?

Student Scholar Series

Unique in legal education, the Columbus School of Law’s Students Scholar Series was developed and inaugurated in 2009 by Professor A.G. Harmon. The series was instituted to recognize notable legal scholarship produced by members of the student body during the academic year, and also to foster the skills associated with presenting and defending that scholarship in a professional conference-style setting.
